Privacy Policy

Recallity (“we”, “us”) is an AI-powered study app. This policy explains what we collect, how it’s used and processed, and the choices you have. By using Recallity you agree to this policy.

Information we collect

• Account information. When you sign in with Apple we receive your email address (or Apple’s private relay address) and a unique account identifier.
• Study materials you upload. Documents you provide — PDF, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, images, and typed or pasted text — so we can generate study content from them.
• Usage & product analytics. How you interact with the app (screens viewed, features used, generation and study events), to understand and improve the product.
• Diagnostics. Crash reports and error diagnostics to keep the app stable.
• Identifiers. Your account ID, an analytics identifier, and — if you enable notifications — a device push token.

How your information is used and processed

We use your information to provide and improve Recallity: to generate quizzes, flashcards, and knowledge-gap analysis from your materials; to schedule your reviews; to send optional study reminders; and to diagnose problems. To do this we rely on the following third-party processors:

• Amazon Web Services (AWS). Your uploaded documents are stored in AWS S3, and our backend runs on AWS.
• Anthropic (Claude). The text of your documents is sent to Anthropic’s Claude models to generate study content. It is not used to train their models.
• PostHog. Product-analytics events, tied to your account identifier.
• Sentry. Crash and error diagnostics.
• Apple. Sign-in with Apple and push notifications.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it to track you across other companies’ apps or websites.

Data retention and deletion

We keep your materials and generated content for as long as you keep the corresponding deck or your account. When you delete a deck or your account from within the app, the associated files are removed from our storage. You can also request deletion by emailing us at contact@recallity.app.

Your rights

You can access, correct, export, or delete your data. The fastest way is in-app account deletion; you may also contact us and we will act on your request in accordance with applicable law.

Children

Recallity is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Security

We use industry-standard measures — encryption in transit, access controls, and reputable infrastructure providers — to protect your data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date above.
