Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of Recallity (the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. The Service

Recallity is an AI-powered study app that turns materials you provide into quizzes, flashcards, and spaced-repetition review. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service for your own studying, subject to these Terms.

2. Your account

You sign in with Apple and are responsible for activity under your account. You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent in your country) to use Recallity.

3. Your content

You retain ownership of the materials you upload and the content you create. You grant us a limited license to store, process, and transmit your content solely to operate and provide the Service — including sending it to our processors (such as AWS and Anthropic) to generate study content. You are responsible for ensuring you have the rights to the materials you upload.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• upload content you do not have the right to use, or that is unlawful;
• use the Service to infringe others’ rights or violate any law;
• attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the Service; or
• use the Service to build a competing product.

5. AI-generated content

Study questions, answers, and summaries are generated by AI from your materials and may contain errors or omissions. Every question is grounded in your own source material and can show the passage it came from, so you can verify it — but Recallity does not guarantee accuracy and is not a substitute for your own judgment or authoritative sources.

6. Subscriptions and billing

Recallity is free to download and includes a free tier. “Recallity Pro” is an auto-renewing subscription offered at $6.99 per month or $39.99 per year, at the prices and terms shown in the app at the time of purchase. Promotional pricing may be offered from time to time.

All purchases are made through the Apple App Store and are subject to Apple’s billing terms. Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase, and your subscription renews automatically for the same period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in your Apple Account settings; deleting the app does not cancel it. Refunds are handled by Apple under its refund policy, not by us.

If your subscription lapses, your account reverts to the free tier — your decks and progress stay, but Pro generation limits no longer apply.

7. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms. On termination, your right to use the Service ends and your content may be deleted.

8. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Recallity and its providers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, arising from your use of the Service.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which Recallity’s provider is established, without regard to conflict of law principles.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date above; your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
